In 2018, OSF-SA commissioned the Market Photo Workshop to curate an exhibition that encapsulates the work of our grantees over the last 25 years.
The exhibition will explore the theme and notion of an open society, and features the work of South Africa’s formidable civil society, focusing on ‘joy as resistance’, ‘history and the personal’, ‘making home’, and political ‘resistance’.
The first installation will be launched on 27 November 2018 and will be shown until mid 2019 under the theme ‘Gifts’.
Through sound and images of ‘hope, joy, pleasure, home, and relationship and community making as resistance and protest’, ‘Gifts’ invites us to reflect on the future of ‘collaborative and humanistic co-existence, agency and access in the dynamic environments and relationships between OSF-SA and its grantees’.
